COOPERSVILLE AREA DISTRICT LIBRARY
COOPERSVILLE AREA DISTRICT LIBRARY BOND PROPOSAL
Shall the Coopersville Area District Library, a district library formed by the City of Coopersville; the Charter Township of Polkton; the Township of Chester; and the Township of Wright, County of Ottawa, State of Michigan, borrow the sum of not to exceed One Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,650,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds, in one or more series, for all or a portion of that amount, for the purpose of acquiring and constructing improvements and additions to the Coopersville Area District Library building, including renovating, expanding, and upgrading of the building and related appurtenances, acquiring and installing equipment and furnishings, and making improvement to the site thereof?
The maximum number of years the bonds may be outstanding, exclusive of refunding, is sixteen (16) years; the estimated millage that will be levied to pay the proposed bonds in the first year is .33 mills (which is equal to $0.33 per $1,000 of taxable value); and the estimated simple average annual millage that will be required to retire the bonds over sixteen (16) years is .32 mills ($0.32 per $1,000 of taxable value).
Voters requiring assistance to vote by reason of blindness, disability, or inability to read or write may be given assistance by a person of the voter’s choice, with certain restrictions.
A voter who is physically unable to attend the polls without assistance of another person, who is at least 60 years of age, or who expects to be absent from the community while the polls are open, is eligible to receive an absent voter ballot. If you wish to apply for an absent voter ballot, contact your local City or Township Clerk, or call the Michigan Relay Center TDD # 1-800-649-3777.
Your local City or Township Clerk’s office will be open until 2:00 p.m. the Saturday immediately preceding the election for the purpose of absent voter ballots.
