Financial Information

Chester Township operates on a fiscal year beginning April 1 and ending March 31. Each year a General Appropriations Act is passed by the Township Board and filed with the Ottawa County Clerk for review. Included with the GAA is a budget for that year. Prior to the adoption of a budget, a public hearing is held, usually around the middle of March. Budgets are reviewed quarterly and amended if necessary.
